Strikethrough #33

I.
Yesterday I found you in wilderness

skipping over bay leaves like nothing

led towards you or away

you stand short but mighty

choked in bright colors

as the ash floats gently around you

Each year I placed in your palm

you grew tired of holding them

so instead you dreamt of me flying

piece by piece I flutter away

until I land in a cemetery

bathed in effervescent glow
